Computers are an integral part of our lives.  Learn how to keep yourself safe, uses for computers, and how to become part of the ever growing career field of computer science.

This is a full uniform event.  Scouts must bring a blue merit badge card signed by your Scoutmaster.  Leader supervision is required for each event.

Absolutely no walk-ins.

Prerequisites:   Read the Digital Technology Merit Badge Pamphlet.

Requirement -List and describe five tips for online safety.  Describe four uses of computers outside the home.  Describe three ways you and your family can use a personal computer, other than for games and entertainment.  Research three different career opportunities in computers. Choose one that interests you and research the following: How do you prepare for this career?  What is the education required for this career?  What is the training required for this career?
