Leave No Trace Trainer - Classroom Session

Classroom Session Date/Time: May 3, 2016, 6:00 pm to 9:00 PM.

Location: Council Service Center

Deadline for registration is April 26, 2016

Leave No Trace Trainer certification is a 16-hour course for Scouters and Scouts age 14 and older who are interested in learning how to apply LNT principles in an outdoor setting and teach the skills to others.

• Participants will be expected to develop and conduct a 15-minute presentation on one of the seven LNT principles during the course.
• Trainer certification is required for a Scout to hold the LNT Trainer positon of responsibility in a Troop.

You must also register for the overnight camping experience and short hike as part of this training:

• Overnight session is on May 14 & 15, 2016 at Camp Schoellkopf
• Transportation to the outpost camping site is available if needed.
• Cost is $40 per person and includes training materials, certification fees, and two meals (Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast).
• Also included is an Outdoor Ethics Orientation course, which is required for the new BSA Outdoor Ethics awards.
