SSR Scout Tough: July 30th – Aug. 4
Are you Scout Tough?
Have you ever wanted to challenge yourself against the elements? Feel like you’ve only just begun to apply your scout skills? Well, here is a chance to show off what you know while learning even more. This summer the Greater Niagara Frontier Council is piloting a new kind of program.
Think you’ve seen all scouting has to offer, think again. How many ways can you start a fire? How many ways can you collect water? Can you build a shelter and actually live in it? …and that’s just the beginning! Participants of this course will take their scouts skills and apply them to the extreme by living and working together in the wilderness of Camp Schoellkopf’s vast unexplored acreage.
We are looking for 10 boys to pilot our new program that will challenge your survival skills. Spend a week at SSR in the North Woods and really sharpen those skills.
Dates: Sunday July 30-Friday August 4
Cost: FREE!!! That’s right, no charge to participants!
Pilot Admission Criteria: Male, First Class, 14 to 17 years old, Registered with the Greater Niagara Frontier Council, Current BSA Medical Form, Have earned Camping, First Aid, & Wilderness Survival Merit Badge.

The deadline for submitting an application is Wednesday, June 28th. All applicants will be contacted by Friday, July 7 letting you know if you have been selected.
