The Scouting Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Our Council serves over 7,000 youth and adults in the communities of Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming Counties. The Scouting programs include Cub Scouts for youth in grades K-5. Scouts, BSA for youth ages 11 to 17, Venturing, Sea Scouts and Exploring for youth ages 14 to 20.

Join Scouting

Scouting provides youth with an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical standards. These opportunities not only help them when they are young, but carry forward into their adult lives. The skills they learn in Scouting help them overcome obstacles and challenges with courage and character throughout their lives.
