Hold a Science Fair for YOUR Scouts

Compete OR Volunteer for Community Service for Badges

As a former GSA troop committee member and an Eagle mother, the importance of Scouting to our regions youth is profoundly clear to me. As director of the Tri Region Science and Engineering Fair, I hope we can use it to celebrate the achievements of your Scouts.

Please please visit our website and see how your young people can use the TRSEF to expand upon the learning theyve done! If your Scouts have done a BSA amateur radio badge. they may have what they need to create a poster presentation for the upcoming TRSEF March 20-21, 2010. As a poster presenter, students in grades 5-12 are interviewed by at least four individual judges and learn about science fair research opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Note: Other Scouts may come as volunteers that day for community service requirements. We provide documentation for all of our volunteers, if requested. BTW, the chaperones are invited to serve as judges, so they can be part of the fun as well.

Please feel free to email me with any questions.

Note: The TRSEF serves 27 counties... there are other regionals in our state. All of them are listed by the International Science and Engineering Fair at http://www.societyforscience.org/isef/students/aff_fairsearch.asp

STEM The TRSEF uses the Federal acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
