From Buffalo and Points South: Take I-190 North across Grand Island to Exit 25A (Lewiston). Turn left onto Route 265 (Military Road), then another left onto Route 104 West. Turn left at the blinking yellow light (just after the pedestrian overpass). The Power Vista entrance is on the left.

Essentials: Registration accepted until April 30, 2010 or until the participant number limit of 50 has been reached.  Registration and payment can be completed below or you can register online and pay in person or by mail to the Council Service Center.

This is a full uniform event!  Must bring signed blue merit badge card with scoutmaster’s signature.  Bring a bag lunch.

Leader supervision is necessary for each Merit Badge Day event.

Prerequisites:

Read the Engineering merit badge pamphlet.

5. Do ONE of the following:

A)    Use the engineering-systems approach to make step by step plans for your next campout. List alternative ideas for such items as program schedule, campsites, transportation, and costs.  Tell why you made the choices you did and what improvements were made.

B)     Make an original design for a piece of patrol equipment.  Use the engineering-systems approach to help you decide how it should work and look.  Draw plans for it.  Show the plans to your counselor, explain why you designed it the way you did, and explain how you would make it.
