District Executive Corner: Holiday Greeting and Thoughts |
|
District Executive Corner: Holiday Greeting and ThoughtsDear Unit Leaders,
The Greater Niagara Frontier Council is here to support all that you do in scouting to make your program possible. The Red Jacket District is here to provide advice, training, activities, camping opportunities, and support each and every day. We also have a fantastic office staff that processes registrations, charters, training, advancements, tour permits, requests for proof of insurance and so much more. GNFC also provides your unit with 3 campgrounds, a fantastic summer camp program and fund raising opportunities. All of this at virtually no cost, as you know GNFC is a non-profit agency, which relies primarily on donations and a handful of fundraisers, to keep these services available to our volunteers and the local community. Membership fees collected from charters are sent directly to national, and provide background checks as well as insurance to all volunteers and youth members. With that said I would like to ask when you would like to have your Family Friends of Scouting Presentation this year. As you may or may not know, this is our annual campaign to appeal to our families and volunteers who directly benefit from our programs. I would ask that you schedule this as soon as possible, typically Blue and Gold Dinners and Courts of Honor are most appropriate. Please Contact Christina Beikirch to schedule you unit’s opportunity to support this organization. Christina.beikirch@scouting.org>> or call 512-6201. Thank you, and Happy Holidays on behalf of the Greater Niagara Frontier Council, Christina Beikirch| Red Jacket District Executive |
