Camp Stonehaven Beaver Day
Saturday, April 22, 2017
What is Beaver Day? – Beavers are hardworking and industrious, just like Scouters. This is a chance to help improve our weekend camp facilities. Camp Stonehaven needs your support!
Who? – Ventures, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Commissioners, Committee Members, and Adult/Parent Leaders of units. All groups and individuals are invited to attend.
When? – April 22, 2017 – 9am start, work for as long as your schedule permits.
What kind of things will we be doing? – All sorts of clean up and repairs to help Ranger Jerry get ready for the weekend camping season. We’ll be moving and splitting firewood, staining and painting, completing minor repairs and construction projects, mowing and cutting brush, and whatever else needs to be done. Bring tools if you can and let us know if you have any special skills.
Why are we doing this? – Stonehaven is our weekend camp in the Polaris District and the District Committee and Commissioner Staff wants to do what we can to make it better. Ranger Jerry has limited time and resources. If we can help him keep our camp beautiful, we all can have a great experience when we camp there for weekends and at the Klondike derby.
Lunch – Hotdogs and the fixings will be provided for lunch. Feel free to bring a dish to share.
