62nd Jamboree On-The-Air (JOTA)
October 19-20, 2019
Jamboree on the Air is the largest Scouting event in the world. Scouts from more than 150 countries connect with each other over amateur radio (also called “ham” radio) stations every year during the third weekend of October. Participating in JOTA can satisfy requirements for merit badges, Webelos adventures, and the International Spirit Award.
This year a station will operate from the following locations:
- Camp Stonehaven: Ken (KD2KEH) will be running a station open to all Scouts on Saturday October 19, 2019. Hours of operation and specific cabin TBA. Contact Ken: kenknox@aol.com
- Other stations may be added.
Amateur Radio is a STEM activity
The Radio Association of Western New York (RAWNY) Is also hosting the Ham Radio & Technology Fair in conjunction with JOTA on Saturday, October 19. See that calendar post for details
