If you are a registered adult leader, at least 21 years of age and possess a care and concern about the Council properties and the enhancement of the short-term camping program, then you might make a great Campmaster!
If you can commit to only one or two weekends per year, are willing to accept a free cup of coffee offered to you by Units in camp and have the ability to get along well with people, then you might make a great Campmaster!
The Campmaster Corps program can be as unique as we want to make it. Individual applications are reviewed and candidates are selected based on their experience in Scouting, level of Training, promise of following-through and their willingness to fulfill light Ranger / Commissioner-type duties at Camp Scouthaven and Schoellkopf Scout Reservation.
For information and to request that an application be mailed to you, please contact any of the following three people:
Gary Malicki (Chief Campmaster/GNFC) 716-683-7063
Richard Albrecht (Co-chair for Camp Scouthaven) 716-706-0123
Phil Roma (Co-chair for Schoellkopf) 716-668-7885The Campmaster program is just getting started in the Greater Niagara Frontier Council. While you’re in camp, you’ll be staying in exclusive quarters at the camp. You’ll serve as a friendly face to campers for the weekend as you check-in and check-out Units and be available to help individual Units in any way from answering questions about camp to offering your area of expertise in helping to teach any outdoor skill or other Scout-advancement related subject.
Be part of a friendly & elite team of local Scouters…be a Campmaster!
