GNFC will offer two exciting programs this fall. The Challenge Course will be a 1/2 day course that can be scheduled for the morning or afternoon. This course is available to all registered Scouts and Leaders. The cost is $7.00 per person. a minimum of 6 people is required.
The second option is the C.O.P.E. program for Boy Scouts at least 13 years of age on 1-1-2004 or have completed the 7th grade and adults who are currently registered with BSA. The program runs Saturday from 8:00 am until 5:00 P.M.. Cost is $15.00 per person. A minimum of 6 people is required.
Registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
Deadlines:
The deadline for registration for the above program is two weeks prior to the scheduled event. If you desire to schedule a date other then the below mentioned, you MUST register 30 days in advance.Medical Forms:
A copy of each participants current medical form is required and must be brought to camp. Any unusual medical conditions should be reported to Chris Smith at the Council Office (891-4073) prior to arrival at camp.
Parental Consent Forms:
All participants under the age of 18 years of age are required to have a consent form, signed by both parents/guardians and brought to camp.
Important:
Groups participating, must provide their own leadership (2 deep) and meals. If camping for the weekend, participants must make their own camping arrangements (i.e. cabins, lean-tos, tent sites) through the Council Service Center (716-891-4073).What to bring:
It is important to remember that we are working with ropes and mechanical climbing gear. Loose fitting clothing is best, but not too loose; large buckles, hooded sweatshirts, rings and watches create a danger and will not be allowed; shoes need to have good tread for working on the cables/sweat pants are not recommended.
